Not yet under construction, these projects envisioned as part of the Rivers District Master Plan, will be planned and delivered over the coming years. These key projects will become landmarks, accommodate new visitors and residents and weave together an integrated neighbourhood.
RiverWalk Stage 2
With Stage 1 complete along the Bow River in East Village, the popular riverside promenade will extend two kilometres, from Fort Calgary along the banks of the Elbow, through Enmax Park and connecting pathway users to Reader Rock Garden and Lindsay Park on The District’s south edge.
The W & JW Marriott Hotel & Residences
Two unique luxury hotel brands are coming to The C+E and together they will host approximately 400 hotel rooms, and 360 new homes. Standing at 62 and 69 storeys tall, the towers will be among the tallest buildings in Western Canada.
