6th Street Underpass
Ensuring seamless integration of Scotia Place into the hustle and bustle of The C+E, the underpass will create a critical north-south connection to East Village and the downtown and expand possibilities for future riverfront residential in The District.
Back in 2011, the 4th Street SE Underpass was the first north- south link between East Village and The C+E. Now, two blocks to the east, an underpass on 6th Street SE will join it. The two portals will flank the future Green Line CTrain station on 11th Avenue SE. Besides making it easy to get in and out of both East Village and the district, it ensures a smooth flow down Stampede Trail, our main street.
